Welcome to our renovation project!

Jerry and I began planning this project in September of 2003. After months of planning, design, making financial arrangements, redesign, builder interviews, permits, and more redesign the actual work began in April 2004.

Renovating a 70 year old colonial cape has its challenges and limitations. But this house has been Jerry's home for 18 years and mine for 8, and home it shall remain.

What did we do? Made a larger dining room by tearing down the wall between the existing dining room and kitchen. Installing central A/C. Finished the basement and added a bathroom in the basement, put on a new gourmet kitchen addition, replaced the two porches that had to be torn down to make way for the new kitchen and replaced the fence.

We were living in about 1/2 the house with our three dogs; Morgan, Zubin and Otis. At times the living arrangements were stressful but all of the "little" inconveniences were worth it. When it was finished we had more space, a great place to entertain friends, and a truly wonderful kitchen.

If you visit the photo album, using the buttons on the left, or the text links on the bottom of the page, you can see before, during, and after shots as we moved through this journey.

Welcome to this old (very) GAY house!
